As the local need for clothing and food grows, we will continue to provide for those in need through the Resource Center and the donated goods we receive. We believe that the addition of our thrift store, the Community Outlet, gives us a well-rounded opportunity to equip individuals with a "hand up" rather than a "hand out." Clothing, household items, and furniture are among the many items available to our local community at an affordable cost. Read more...

Current Efforts

Healthy Help Food Drive Initiative:
Join us throughout the year in providing healthy and more sustaining food options. Request for donated healthy items include:

  • Whole wheat pastas
  • Whole grain rice
  • Corn flour
  • Oats
  • Natural/organic chicken
  • Frozen vegetables and fruits
  • Fresh vegetables and fruits

The purpose of Healthy Help is to better serve and enrich our clients by collecting food that yields a greater nutritional value, ministering to the whole person and equipping them to honor God with their bodies. Will you join us in this initiative and drop off healthier food items? Would your workplace, church, civic organization or small group consider holding a food drive? For more information, contact Mandi Stewart at 252-321-6857 or

Discipleship Classes:
In response to the call to "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations...," Hope of Glory Ministries will be hosting men's and women's bible studies throughout the week, along with life skills classes focusing on nutrition and exercise education. Will you join us in making disciples by donating your time to lead a group or work one-on-one with individuals seeking Jesus? Or by sponsoring discipleship materials, including Bibles and devotionals?

Meeting God in Sports:
Every other Saturday, Hope of Glory Ministries and local volunteers serve the Kearney Park neighborhood from 12pm-2pm through the Meeting God in Sports outreach. We use sports as the common ground to connect with the children of the neighborhood and share in studying the Bible together. Have a passion for Jesus, sports and young kids? Contact Mandi Stewart at 252-321-6857 or Read More to learn about our yearly outreach opportunities...
