Dear Faithful Donors,

First, we want to say THANK YOU for your faithfulness over the years. We truly could not operate without your partnership to see lives transformed through Hope of Glory Ministries. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for investing and trusting us to steward your financial giving in our mission to relieve burdens, empower families and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What a whirlwind the last 6 years have been as we have witnessed our Co-op Program grow into something so life changing. Since its birth in 2016, we have seen marriages restored, debts paid off, homes purchased, opportunity for a first-generation college student, businesses birthed, and families becoming financially healthy. The Lord working in each of their lives has been a true testament of who He is as our loving Father. We continue to see lives forever changed by the impact of this program and know He has much more in store for Pitt County.

Some of you may not be aware that our thrift store warehouse has housed our co-op grocery store since we transitioned from emergency services to empowerment! Our team has been able to manage thrift store donations, sorting and tagging items, and our co-op families’ grocery shopping visits with so much grace and patience over the years, but we have outgrown our current space! With that being said, we are EXPANDING our Co-op Program right next door! With the yearly growth of our thrift store and staff we are presently able to serve 15-18 families comfortably but without much room to add more families within the current location. With the expansion next door we will have capacity to serve over 50 families and have the co-op in one central location. At this time our families shop in the grocery store housed in our warehouse, gather for their monthly educational meetings at Unity Church, and hold their mentor meetings in a public area such as Panera or Barnes and Noble. Having a designated facility for the Co-op Program will allow us to be under one roof and have a permanent site for the grocery store, a classroom for our monthly educational classes, and a conference room for mentor meetings, donor meetings, community gatherings, and more! We also will be adding four offices in the new space which will allow growth for more team members to come on board within the co-op side of the ministry.

“Will you expand with us?”

We have watched as God has shown up time and time again with wisdom, direction, and provision since the beginning stages of the formation of the co-op and this is another important stage moving forward. We are so excited to see how He will continue to transform lives right here in Pitt County and we’re grateful to be a part of what He is doing. Your financial partnership and community support will help to make this awesome expansion possible!

First and foremost, please join us as we pray for the current and new families we are serving, that their lives will be so blessed and transformed with this expansion. Pray for new families who will have the opportunity to join the Co-op Program, giving us the ability to serve them in a way that is honoring to the Lord. And agree with us in prayer for the financial resources needed to move forward and to complete this expansion for His glory!

Secondly, we want to offer you the opportunity and blessing to join us in this next phase as we embark on a $500,000 Expansion Capital Campaign to enlarge and establish our Community Co-op Program in its own location! We have $90,000 raised presently. With the generosity of your financial gifts, would you consider joining us in this next part of our journey to transform families and lives for lasting change here at Hope of Glory Ministries?

Cat Knell

Executive Director

Cat started as an intern with Hope of Glory Ministries in 2015, and with the Lord’s guidance she transitioned to Executive Director in 2020. She strives to continue to see families lives be changed and empowered through the Co-op Program and outreach events. This ministry continues to make heart and habit changes right here in Pitt County, empowering families to reach financial health through biblical wisdom. Leading a nonprofit was once a young college girls dream, turned reality five years later. The Lord has called us to be use His word to transform lives, “therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing then in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19).
