OutreachesReaching the community through the hands and feet of Jesus.
These are just some of the ways we serve our community…
Meeting God in Sports
Every other Saturday (March-July), Hope of Glory Ministries and partnering churches serve the Kearney Park and Hopkins Park neighborhoods from 11am-1pm through the Meeting God in Sports outreach. We use sports as the common ground to connect with the children of the neighborhood and share in studying the Bible together, then partake in a healthy snack. Our heart is to have this outreach in the 3 communities we serve with the help of local churches and ministries adopting a neighborhood for the spring/summer.
Each week we gather together to pray together, study God’s Word and encourage each other in our faith journey. We are seeking to follow Jesus’ command of making disciples. Women meet each Wednesday at 12pm in the Upper Room at Hope of Glory.
We are serving approximately 50 pre-selected families at Hope of Glory Ministries. These families are invited to pick up a Thanksgiving Meal on Friday, Nov. 16th at designated times between 2pm-4pm. Volunteers needed to help package up bags of food from 12-2pm, and with distribution from 2pm-4pm. Volunteer Spots are limited, so please sign up below before Nov. 6th.
If you would like to donate a gift of $30 to provide a family with a turkey, side dishes, and a dessert, please mail a check and designate in the memo line “Thanksgiving Outreach”. You may also give securely online here, be sure to mention Thanksgiving Outreach in the notes field.
From Nov. 1st - Dec. 10th we will be collecting Christmas donations, toys, and items for families in need throughout Pitt County. Your gift of $50-$75 will help make a joyful Christmas for those we serve. For distribution details, ways to serve, wish list items or to give, please click here.
