      Hello Sisters!

It seems just down right odd not having Bible Study with all you gals! I have missed seeing your faces and I am looking forward to getting back with you all in September! The Daughters of Faith Community bible study resumes on September 10th and the postcard is attached to this letter.

Many of you purchased our summer reading, This Day We Fight by Francis Frangipane. If anyone would still like a copy there is a link on this page where you can order online or you can purchase them from our ministry office for $10.00. We still will be meeting On Wednesdays from 12-1pm at Southern Bank of Greenville at the Charles Blvd. location.

Studying the books of Philippians and James this past Spring was timely for me personally and I know many others were encouraged as we continue to journey together by faith! As we were reminded in James 2:22, do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? James is speaking of the moment in time when Abraham offered Isaac his son on the altar. This act of obedience and love still blows me away! I know what you’re thinking; I will never be able to do what Abraham did. You’re right… you can’t, but God can! Mark says, with God all things are possible. A child does not like or want to hear the word never, because this typically means there is not a chance. But if you tell a child there is a possibility, this gives them hope!I am not speaking of false hope or empty promises that we have all done at one time or another. I am referring to our only real hope and that is Jesus! God’s word says,” that hope deferred makes a heart grow sick!” Many of us have had or do have sick hearts. Our hope has been deferred through day to day living and we have gotten weary. In simple terms, let’s throw off the religion and put on passion. It will take seeking Jesus and following Him daily no matter the cost!

In Matthew 11:12 Jesus says, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. It takes a vessel willing to fight for what it loves! I invite all of you to join our women’s ministry in reading the book, This Day We Fight. It is for all of those that believe God’s kingdom is worth fighting for.

Enjoy being still in the SON this summer!

Living To Please Him,

Gina Robinson
